What is bipolar disorder?
Bipolar disorder is exactly that. Two polars happening in your life. One polar is mania and the other depression. Hence, the alter name "manic depressive". When one has bipolar, they will go into extreme highs and extreme lows. They will rarely hit a balance in the middle. It will usually be one or the other. Only until people with bipolar disorder get proper treatment from a psychiatrist will they experience a balance again. When in extreme highs people may tend to think they are God and can fly. Then, they jump off a building not wanting to die but to fly and then they do not and die from the fall appearing to be committing suicide. When people with bipolar disorder are in extreme lows they tend to stay in their room and sleep all day. People with bipolar disorder in extreme lows may cry uncontrollably. People with bipolar disorder will lose sense of reality. They may become paranoid. They get the sense that someone is watching them. These are all things that have happened to me and so I know what someone with bipolar disorder is going through. That is why I want to help all of you with bipolar disorder overcome it.
